Well, I had another birthday...

   So today I turned 45...
I didn't tell anybody, you can understand why...
I'm glad the day is over...Please don't mention it to me later...

On the up side... Argh...I turned 45... So much for trying to write a blog post...I will try to do something about this one tomorrow... I'm too miserable for clarity right now...I mean 45? Are you serious?
I feel awful...Maybe it will get better...so far it's terrible...

Ok, it is now tomorrow, I will try again:

New things & old things that still work...(hover over "gap" to see pink hotlinks-I'm not sure how the links are not showing, but when you hover over each recommendation they appear in pink...Must have clicked something?Ok, I fixed it- the links font was in the same colour as the background green- must have hit a button last time...)...

Kagi makes Doubletake which pastes together your pictures into one, you can also make panoramas if you take sequential pictures...http://echoone.com/doubletake/

Been seriously considering getting a bunch of long sleeve compression tops for winter...These ones come with free printing too...I could get "Sari" printed on all of them, so people would remember my name...Like Laverne on Laverne & Shirley...Remember when Laverne took off several layers of clothing & each layer had her name embroidered on the front? http://www.thegraphicedge.com/catalog/item.asp?i=3360 The Graphic Edge...

UHaul has this nice furniture dolly that could help me move my over 75 lb. Trumpeter Swan sculpture "Swanee"...http://www.uhaul.com/MovingSupplies/Moving-lifting-tools/Furniture-Dolly?id=8413
Home hardware has this dolly http://www.homehardware.ca/en/rec/index.htm/Hardware/Builders/Trucks-Dollies/Trucks-Dollies/TRUCK-UTILITY-4WHEEL/_/N-2pqfZ67l/Ne-67n/No-24/Ntk-All_EN/R-I5410283?Ntt=dolly&Num=0 which costs more, but is made of PVC so maybe it is better?

Petsmart carries Calcium Carbonate sand, which is almost the same as crushed marble dust-so if you mix the sand with cement you can sculpt! (Also called Aragonite Sand)...Comes in different colours too!
http://www.petsmart.com/family/index.jsp?s=D-StorePrice-PET&sr=1&origkw=sand&categoryId=2769277&pg=1&searchSort=TRUE

Latex Concrete Habitats , book http://www.amazon.com/Latex-Concrete-Habitat-Albert-Knott/dp/1412039975 I am going to try mixing mineral silicate paints with cement instead of latex, because silicates come from sand & are more eco than latex...But got the basic principle(mixing paint with cement) from this book , plus the hyperbolic paraboloid design was something I had been sketching but didn't have the confidence to use until I saw this...

BioOne is where I read articles from the Waterbird Society...& more...http://www.bioone.org/ if you join the Waterbird society, you get to read the journals free there(just the Waterbird one)(but you can read everybody else's abstracts free, which is often enough to get the idea)...

Cooliris helps you display a wall of content nicely... http://www.cooliris.com/developer/documentation/?p=content (like your Youtube feed)...

40x50" laundry bags to store & ship your art...http://www.ebay.ca/itm/40-x-50-Commercial-Grade-200D-Nylon-Laundry-Bags-/220757180157?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item79146cc770#ht_1847wt_1141 This link may expire cause it is an ebay one...oh well...get it while you can...

A Notary Public can do all sorts of things way cheaper than a lawyer...Like if a gallery closes with your art in it & you don''t have a written contract, go to a Notary Public after writing out a statement of how your work came to be in the gallery, the whole deal, & get the Notary to witness & stamp it...Then give a copy to the landlord or whoever is trying to keep your art...It cost us like $12.50 & worked like a charm...(it worked- charms don't work for me actually...Let's just say it worked...)http://www.toronto-notary-public.com/?gclid=CNme8ZTm46oCFSF15Qodcyhl9Q

Herban Cowboy shaving cream in a tub...We buy a case of it at a time & Rock Bottom deals carries it for the price of a song (ok a song on iTunes, not the real cost of a song, which is like 30 grand, anyway)
http://www.rockbottomdeals.biz/

Pizap is a great place to upload a background photo, then add a cutout of your sculpture in the setting...You can also paint over photos which is neat if you are doing a sculpture & want to see how different colours look on it...Free...http://www.pizap.com/pizap.php?width=1453

Sherri Warner Hunter: http://www.sherriwarnerhunter.com/index.htm The person who writes books & tells on her websites how exactly to do ferrocement sculpture in words that are comprehensible...!

An artist shows how ferrocement sculptures are made...http://www.deborahsilver.com/blog/?tag=concrete-garden-sculpture Cool Dogs!

Sculpture Supply Canada has sculpture supplies & does casting...http://www.sculpturesupply.com/index.php

ArtBizCoach http://www.artbizcoach.com/ Click the word "Join" to see the "artist.conspiracy" option on the site...For a low monthly fee you can get awesome artist coaching...
