in reponse to ArtBIzBlog's post about scented candles...
" Don't look a gift horse in the mouth "...someone is kind enough to invite me into their home, their private personal space...AND give me a much needed lesson on how to be an artist better...don't look a gift horse in the mouth...be grateful...thankful...polite...courteous...& if you do have an allergy to a food group or anything else , the burden is upon YOU to tell your host beforehand so that they may plan ahead to buy lots of vegetables or avoid any perfume or tell people not to smoke...if someone does not know that their guests have allergies, & they have not been told at any time during the event, then it is not fair to hiss & whine after the fact especially in a manner remotely related to rudeness...I would like to invite any dissenters to my home where they can luxuriate in the delicious odour of cat spray from my two unspayed bengal females...or too our farm, where the horse manure is a lovely note of brown...or to have met my incontinent father who might deposit a gift on your restaurant banquette unexpectedly in his handicapped state...oh to be burdened with scented candle smell...how awful...
